The Acoustic Neuroma Association of Canada has been a godsend for me, especially six years ago when I was diagnosed with a brain tumour called acoustic neuroma. Ever since, I have been privileged to benefit from personal guidance and support as my journey continues. Their nation-wide conferences have been followed by regular newsletters of precise information written by Canada’s top medical experts and personal case histories written by patients.
Chapter support group meetings have given us opportunities to talk candidly with many other folk, each with their own unique case history.
Each year many of us have participated in the annual walkathon to raise monies supporting this small patient-driven registered charity. ANAC makes such a difference!
This year I’m recovering from knee replacement surgery and will be doing daily PT instead of walking. So that’s my challenge for this year!
